Costumes/Props/Mis-en-scene (Front Cover Page)

 

    This model is wearing a low skin fade which is a very effective haircut in which makes the line-up pop out with a natural look. The haircut isn't the only effective component in the picture, the earrings and necklace with a white t shirt provides a simplistic modern look with the LED lights in the background. This is exactly what I would like to include for my front cover page, a modern look with a handsome young man who has a clean face and good eyebrows with them wearing jewelry that's not too loud. By the image you can get the idea that the young man has confidence in himself because of his haircut and especially the way he is posing for the picture. That is my goal, for those who are reading the magazine to receive a hairstyle that not only makes them look good, but most importantly feel good.

    As discussed in the previous blog posts, I will include different hairstyles for a variety of hair texture. However, the models included in the front cover page will be displayed by their side face profile, I believe is is the best way for all hairstyles to appear. As shown above, the model is serious not showing any emotion, this is what the models will do hence if there was emotion shown, it would distract readers from the hairstyle/haircut. The background in all pictures will be blurred behind to make the main image pop out which will be the model and his hairstyle. What I won't include will be a cape, reason being not only do I want readers to get a hairstyle from my magazine, but I want them to gain a positive clean image from the magazine of each model.

The front cover of this magazine is by HAIRBIZ, the main image is the model, the model is very much serious and is shown face forward. I agree with the yellow colored background with the the incorporation of ANDIS, a company that makes high quality hair clippers. The text is yellow and white which is very appealing, but the face that the font is complementing is not. What I will do in my magazine is include bold text such as this magazine but I will include models who give off a look of satisfaction and happiness because of their hairstyle that they're wearing.
